Why We Publish Open Access Books?

Turkuaz Publications provides authors and scholars with an open and inclusive editorial environment for high-quality scholarly publishing.

Turkuaz Publications publishes monographs, serial books and critical editions of original works.

To make research content more accessible and to promote equitable participation and distribution of knowledge, all content and metadata is published on Open Access and released under Creative Commons licenses, which designate the author as the main copyright holder. All books and chapters are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 by default.

Turkuaz Publications considers peer review as the core of book scientific evaluation. In order to strengthen the network of all researchers involved in the review process and to recognize their essential contribution to this process, Turkuaz Publishing continuously updates its database by listing reviewers on this website.

Peer review is the cornerstone of the Turkuaz Publications publication review chain. All publications are subject to a peer review process conducted by external reviewers under the commitment of the Turkuaz Publications Editorial Board.

Published books are approved by the Turkuaz Editorial Board, and high scientific and ethical standards are applied at all stages of publication.

Open Access Book Publishing

  • Open access publishing means that your book or chapter can be read, reviewed, shared and cited without depending on readers buying it or libraries stocking it.
  • Open access therefore greatly increases the opportunities for your work to be widely read and have an impact in the world.
  • An open access book or chapter is more easily accessible when it is published and over time, so it attracts a much wider audience.
  • Open access books can be accessed from anywhere in the world, by anyone with an internet connection, which greatly increases the likelihood of your work being read, discussed and cited.

Open Access

Open access is defined in the 2001 Budapest Open Access Initiative as the free availability of scientific literature to the public via the Internet, without financial, legal or technical barriers, in a form that can be accessed, read, saved, copied, printed, scanned, linked to the full text, transferred as data to software, and used for any legal purpose..

Open Access Books

Open access (OA) literature includes all scholarly outputs that are digital, online, free, accessible without registration or other access barriers, and free from most copyright and licensing restrictions.

Open access is a publishing model that puts research online for free so that anyone can read, share and reuse it. Research published in open access can reach a wider audience and gain more citations and influence.

Because open access books are more easily discovered and shared, publishing your work as an open access book can lead to audiences outside your normal networks finding your research. Open access books not only reach a wider audience, but also have the potential to reach a more diverse audience, including academics from other disciplines, independent researchers, policy makers, industries and the general public.
